Attached are the PSC staff's summary of the EPA's proposed rule on existing fossil fuel power plants and the results from Tuesday's primary elections.

All the candidates that ACRE supported this cycle won their respective primary contests, with the exception of Jay Fant in House District 15.  As of now, that race is too close to call with Fant ahead by three votes.  This race will go into a manual recount and when the results are final.

In Congress, U.S. Representatives Miller (CD-1), Yoho (CD-3), Crenshaw (CD-4), Hastings (CD-20), and Wilson (CD-24) all handily won their primaries.  The Governor's race is set with Gov. Rick Scott facing former Republican, Independent and now Democrat Charlie Crist.  The Florida Attorney General race will pit candidate George Sheldon against the ACRE supported incumbent Pam Bondi.  Florida’s other Cabinet officers did not have primary opposition.  ACRE supported all of the incumbent cabinet members and staff will recommend more support for their general elections.

The attached Florida House and Senate spreadsheets show the district number with district performance, the victorious candidates heading into the November general election, and the “✓” represents ACRE contributions given during the primary cycle.  Additionally, several candidates have the word “elected” in the last column because either they had no opposition or the primary was their only race.  In addition to elected, the last column on the Senate spreadsheet may have “TL” indicating the year a Senator is term limited.  Lastly, “not up this cycle” may be in the last column because only even numbered Senate districts are up for election this year.
