After speaking with the FEMA folks earlier this month, I again relayed their desire to have pre-storm bids from minority + female - owned companies to our managers.  One of managers asked if we could compile a list of such contractors for our Co-ops.
Like most of you, we do not have many electric distribution contract companies that fall into these categories.  Our manager was suggesting that we post a listing of such contractors - not an endorsement - merely a listing - so it would be easier for our folks to try to comply with FEMA's wishes for storm bids for contractors.
If you guys have any ideas, or a list we could start, please forward to me or post to the list serve.
