Here is the Euro Model or ECMWF for a potential ice storm across south Texas and the far South, including parts of the Florida panhandle, into southeastern North Carolina.

Should this Euro Forecast and the GFS Forecast (that I sent earlier today) verify, this would have the potential to be quite impactful in south Texas, southeast Louisiana, southern Mississippi and southern Alabama, the Florida panhandle, and southern Georgia, into South Carolina and North Carolina. Ice amounts in the 3/10” to 1” range.

Again, this is roughly 8 or 9 days out. A lot can change. But, it’s always good to be prepared.
