Data Feed from the National Weather Service is down this morning… Sidney Sperry 10 Jan 2025 12:19 UTC

All,

Just a note to let you know that the Data Feed that we use to obtain forecast data from the National Weather Service is down this morning, so our forecast updates from the 6am NWS forecasts will be delayed. Sometime in the night, the NWS changed some of their “header files” and apparently did not notify all mass data users of this change - this happened last week during the ice storm as well.

See note below from my programmer, John Leeman with Leeman Geophysical. He will try and resolve the issue as soon as he can. But first he has to get to his shop, which means traveling through several inches of snow in western Arkansas this morning! Hopefully he can resolve this issue soon - just wanted to update everyone on the issue.

From John Leeman:
“Looks like sometime last night the header in the files changed again, similar to what it did a week ago. Not sure if they (NWS) are changing servers or why they keep messing with it. I should be able to work around it, but I'm not sure when I can make it to the shop through the snow to do so, but I'll keep you posted!”
