Track has shifted south, with landfall now predicted between Sarasota and Venice, FL. Still forecasting a Category 3 or Category 4 hurricane at landfall early Thursday morning, around 1am CDT, or 2pm EDT 10/10/2024. Storm Surge of 10’ to 15’ possible some areas. Storm total rainfall forecast to be in the 4” up to 16” range.  - Sid Sperry
