Track forecast now is just south of Sarasota, FL, as a Major Hurricane (likely a Category 3 or 4, some models show the possibility of a Category 5) at landfall Wednesday afternoon, 10/9/2024. Storm surge of 9’ or above, some areas of western FL coast.
