FYI… latest NWS Watches, Warnings & Advisories. Tropical Storm Warnings and Hurricane Warnings off southeast TX coast. RED FLAG FIRE WARNINGS parts WA, MT, WY & SD. Fire Weather Watch parts NV. Excessive Heat Warning parts southern CA. Air Quality Alerts parts OR, ID, MT & WY. Frost Advisory & Freeze Warning parts WV, VA & MD panhandle.

The forecast track for soon-to-be Tropical Storm “Francine” has shifted slightly east, toward a potential landfall in south-central LA. Landfall looks to be Wednesday afternoon or early evening, likely as a Category 1 hurricane. However, extremely warm Gulf of Mexico waters and very little sheer could bring about rapid intensification over the next 24 to 48 hours. Impacts to include hurricane force winds and heavy rainfall.
