Scattered thunderstorms across some North Central Region and Mid-Atlantic states today, mostly non-severe. Western half of U.S. continues to deal with dense smoke and haze from wildfires in WA, OR, ID, CA & CO. Air Quality Alerts for these areas as well.

Continued “shifting” of “Cone of Uncertainty” to the west for a disturbance in the southwestern Atlantic. NHC forecasters still giving this disturbance a 60% chance of development into a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm within the next 3-5 days, with entry into the eastern Gulf of Mexico appearing more and more likely, per models.
