ELEVATED Wildfire Risk, Day 1 (Wednesday, 7/31/24), parts WY, CO, NE & KS. Wildfires continue to burn - largely uncontrolled - in parts WA, OR, ID, CO and western Canada.

NHC still forecasting a 60% chance of a disturbance in the western Atlantic developing into a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm by late this week or by early weekend. “Cone of Uncertainty” includes FLorida, and now extends to include parts of coastal Georgia, coastal South Carolina and coastal North Carolina. Interests in Virginia should also watch for further developments of this disturbance.
