Tropical Depression 13 forms in south-central Atlantic. Will become Tropical Storm “Lee” in a matter of hours, and will likely strengthen into a Major Hurricane over the next few days. However, due to strong Wind Shear off the east coast of the U.S., it appears at this time that “Lee” will remain out in the Atlantic and not be a threat to U.S. east coasts states. Still worth watching, though…

Latest updates from the NHC, and from Dr. Levi Cowan at TropicalTidbits.com on now Tropical Depression 13, soon to become Tropical Storm “Lee,” and likely to develop into a major hurricane over the next several days. Strong Wind Shear (last graphic) will most likely keep “Lee” away from impacts to the U.S. east coast, and out in the Atlantic. Still one to watch closely.
