Storm Surge estimates in some of the Big Bend areas of FL are now in the 12’ to 15’ range (potentially catastrophic). Idalia is forecast to make landfall Wednesday morning as a Category 3 or POSSIBLY a Category 4 major hurricane. Sustained Winds could be in the 120-130 mph range at landfall, and up to 100 mph for parts of inland and north-central FL. 75 to 80 mph winds possible in parts southeast GA. 45 to 60 mph winds possible parts southern SC.
