FYI… in areas where the heaviest Snow and Ice accumulations are forecast, sustained winds are generally in the 15 to 25 and 25 to 35 mph range (yellow and orange areas). However, there are some states (Pennsylvania, for example), where sustained winds in higher elevation areas are forecast to be in the 35 to 45 mph range, thus driving the SPIA Index to higher Levels of Impact (Levels 3 & 4). - Sid Sperry
