Hate to be the bearer of bad news (and this is SUMMER, not WINTER!), but it looks like this Heat Wave that much of the nation is experiencing is going to continue through at least next Friday, June 24, at least according to the reputable forecasters at Pivotal Weather, a private weather forecasting consortium.
According to their chart released yesterday, there is an 80% to 90% probability that Temperatures will be above the 20-year normals for parts KS, OK, TX, MO, AR, LA, TN, MS and AL. There is a 60% to 80% probability that temps will be above 20-year normals across nearly half of the U.S., from the Dakotas to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions of the Continental United States (CONUS).
Long story short: lots of HEAT over the next 10 days, at least. Air Conditioning loads will be HIGH for the foreseeable future!
