Just wanted to drop a note to the group and thank you all the prayers, calls, and e-mails inquiring about assistance following the tornados last Friday evening. You don’t know how much I appreciate the concern and willingness to help.I love this group of folks and appreciate you all.
We currently have two coops still working. One of them is under 100 and the other is at 400 outages. That is the hardest hit coop, West KY RECC in Mayfield. They have had 20 guys in from Tombigbee in MS. The rest of the help has been from in-state coops and contractors. We were fortunate that we didn’t have to call a bunch of ppl in from out of state for this one. Because it has been such big news, the support from our state coops not impacted has been overwhelming. All of our in-state guys wanted to help.
There are going to have quite a few less meters than there were prior to the storm, but they are hopeful to have power restored to everyone they can by early next week sometime.
Recently retired Chuck Tiemann would text or email myself and my co-workers each day and let us know that we had been prayed for. I know that comes as no surprise to any of you who know Chuck.
Thanks again and I hope each of you has a very Merry Christmas.
