Elevated Fire Risk, Day 1 (today and tonight), parts northeastern CO, far southwestern NE, far northwestern KS.

From 10% to 40% chance of severe thunderstorms today for parts southeast TX, southwest LA, through parts AR, MS, AL, TN, MO, IL, IN & KY, plus in parts OR & WA.

Snow in the higher elevations of the WA Cascades, with heavier snow amounts being forecast for parts ND, MN & SD over the next 72-hrs. From 4” up to 12” some areas.

Heavy rains are possible over next 24-72 hours in western WA and western OR, with up to 4” to 6” likely in some areas. Flooding and flash flooding possible in those areas.
