Tropical Depression 18 has formed northeast of French Guiana in South America; will likely increase to hurricane intensity by Saturday & be a major hurricane by Monday afternoon of next week. This could become Hurricane “Sam.” Sidney Sperry 23 Sep 2021 02:10 UTC
FYI… latest update from the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Look for Tropical Depression Number 18 to become Hurricane “Sam” within the next 3 days. Forecasters are predicting that it will intensify into a Major Hurricane by Monday. Current track projections have this storm moving just to the north-northeast of Puerto Rico sometime on Wednesday. We will be watching this storm closely over the next 5 to 7 days for any potential impacts to the east coast, or if this system will turn more to the north and away from east coast states. Stay tuned… - Sid Sperry
