FYI… latest updates on Tropical Storm Nicholas, and on Disturbance #3 near the Bahamas. TS Nicholas will have impacts Monday through Wednesday across parts of TX and LA. Disturbance #3 could have impacts on the eastern Carolina coastal areas by late this week or by this coming weekend.

Biggest concerns with Nicholas: heavy rainfall along much of the Texas coast and several miles inland; also, heavy rainfall amounts (from 4” to 10”) for much of western, southwestern, central, and southeastern Louisiana from Monday night thru early Thursday. Storm surge and sustained winds of from 45 to 60 mph are also possible along the south-central Texas coastline as Nicholas comes ashore early Tuesday morning. Storm surge from 2’ up to 5’ is currently being forecast. - Sid Sperry
