FYI… updated potential area of impact graphic for Tropical Depression #9, soon to strengthen and become Tropical Storm “Ida”. NHC forecasters are projecting that this storm could develop into a major hurricane, with winds at landfall potentially in the 110+ mph range. Most models now how TD #9 trending further to the east, to include the upper Texas coastline and all of the Louisiana coastal areas, plus far southern Mississippi. Landfall could occur late Sunday night or during the early morning hours on Monday. Tropical Storm Force Winds (=/> 39 mph) could begin impacting parts of the FL panhandle, coastal AL, coastal MS, and coastal LA by Saturday mid-day, with areas of the upper TX coast potentially receiving Tropical Storm Force Winds early Sunday.
