Latest NHC Update in Tropical Storm Elsa… Sidney Sperry 06 Jul 2021 01:10 UTC
FYI… note that forecast rainfall amounts for parts of the western Florida Peninsula are increasing into the 6” to 10” range, generally south of Tampa Bay with this latest forecast. Peak Storm Surge amounts have also increased and are now in the 3’ to 5’ range from Aucilla River to Englewood, including the Tampa Bay area. Winds are still forecast to be Tropical Storm Force or greater, but generally less than 58 mph for most of Florida, although some intensification should be anticipated as Elsa moves into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Straight.
