“Potential Tropical Cyclone Five” expected to become a Tropical Storm soon… Sidney Sperry 30 Jun 2021 21:48 UTC
FYI…

See latest updates below from Meteorologist Levi Cowan (Twitter Handle @TropicalTidbits) and from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, FL. Should “Potential Tropical Cyclone Five” develop into a Tropical Storm, it would be named “Elsa,” which is the next name after “Danny” for Atlantic-based Tropical Storms and Hurricanes.

This system continues to develop as it is now reaching the warmer waters of the eastern Caribbean and approaches the Lesser Antilles. It could be upgraded to Tropical Storm status by Friday, and as it nears both the Windward and southern Leeward Islands. If it stays on its current track, this storm could reach the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, on Saturday, and southeastern Cuba by Sunday afternoon. Interests in south Florida and the Gulf States should definitely keep an eye on this “Potential Tropical Cyclone Five” as it continues to track west-northwest over the next 5 days.
