FYI... system currently in the Bay of Campeche now has a 50% probability of developing into a Tropical Storm over the next 5 days. Main impacts currently forecast to be heavy rainfall in parts Central America and Southern Mexico. System will gradually move northward over the next 5 to 7 days.
A non-tropical area of low pressure has now formed about 150 miles south of Wilmington, NC. This system is producing disorganized thunderstorms along the coast and will gradually move northeast over the next few days. Some tropical development may be expected, but this system will meet cooler waters the further north it goes, likely ending any impactful tropical development.
