All,
One of the private weather services that I follow closely is a company called Earth Networks. They hosted a “Winter Weather Outlook” Webinar today, and since several of you have asked me for my thoughts about the upcoming winter weather months (typically November or December through March or April), I thought I would share these slides with you from today’s Earth Networks’ presentation. Since we are in a definite “La Nina” forecast cycle right now, for much of the southern tier of the Continental United States (CONUS), the forecast from December through March is warmer temps and drier conditions, with less than average snow and or rainfall for about the southern half of the United States. You’ll see that in the slides that are a part of this presentation. Just wanted to share since several of you have asked. - Sid Sperry
