FYI... 8:00pm Forecast Update from the National Hurricane Center. Track has stayed roughly the same as the 2:00pm Forecast. Max sustained winds are 145 mph; movement is west-northwest at 17 mph. Estimated sustained wind speeds at landfall on Friday night/Saturday morning are from 95 to 125 mph. Of note: sustained winds in western Mississippi on Saturday afternoon/evening could still be in the 60 to 65 mph range. Rainfall estimates for south-central Louisiana are in the 6” to 10”+ range.
