FYI... here is the 5am update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) on Tropical Depression #26 and on Tropical Storm “Gamma.” TD #26 is expected to strengthen into a hurricane by sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning as it nears or passes over western Cuba. It would be named “Delta” if it increases in strength to a Tropical Storm later today.
The last three forecast graphics attached here are for Tropical Storm Gamma, which is still meandering in the southern Gulf of Mexico, just north of the Yucatán Peninsula. There IS the possibility of some interaction later this week (Wednesday) between these two storms. - Sid Sperry, OAEC
