Latest Updates from NHC concerning now Hurricane Sally. Max sustained winds at 11:00am were 90 mph, but Sally is intensifying rapidly, and could reach Category 2 status (sustained winds of 96 to 109 mph) within a matter of hours. NHC forecasters are predicting sustained winds of 103 to 105 mph at landfall on Tuesday, with landfall location being somewhere between Gulfport, MS, and Mobile, AL, most likely. Current forecast path almost directly over Ocean Springs, MS.
