Tropical Depression 13 forms in south-central Atlantic. Will become Tropical Storm “Lee” in a matter of hours, and will likely strengthen into a Major Hurricane over the next few days. However, due to strong Wind Shear off the east coast of the U.S., it appears at this time that “Lee” will remain out in the Atlantic and not be a threat to U.S. east coasts states. Still worth watching, though… |

NHC upgrades Tropical Depression 13 to Tropical Storm “Lee,” with sustained winds of 45 mph. Potential for Lee to become a very powerful major hurricane by Friday afternoon. Interests in the Northern Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic should closely monitor this storm for potential impacts this weekend… |

Hurricane Lee goes through eye wall replacement, re-intensifies to a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 120 mph. Slows to 7 mph crawl to the northwest. |

Current track takes Lee into southwestern Nova Scotia, southern New Brunswick, or possibly southeastern Maine late Saturday night or early Sunday morning as a low-end Category 1 hurricane, or a high-end Post Tropical Storm with sustained winds from 39 to 73 mph with higher gusts… |
