Subject: Red Dye diesel waiver statewide FL thru Sept 22
Michelle,
As requested see attached.
This statewide allowance to utilize 15 ppm sulfur (Ultralow sulfur diesel)
fuel that contains red dye, runs from Sept 6, 2017 until Sept 22, 2017.
This waiver does not authorize the use of higher than 15 ppm sulfur fuel in
highway vehicles.
This does not waive taxing requirements (federal 22.5 cents/gal and state
and local fuel taxes) which must be paid (to the IRS and Dept. of Revenue)
after the fact for highway uses of the dyed fuel. Fuel taxes are paid
either by the supplier/retailer and passed on at the time of purchase, or by
the user if taxes have not been paid by the suppler/retailer. Fuel taxes
are paid either bimonthly or monthly. Information on this is found in IRS
Document 510 https://www.irs.gov/publications/p510/index.html and State
taxes: http://floridarevenue.com/taxes/taxesfees/Pages/fuel.aspx or phone:
