Attached is template that you can use to submit comments to the EPA/Corps supporting the EPA's efforts to repeal the existing rule.  EPA has already received over 8,000 comments opposing their efforts to withdraw the current rule, therefore, a letter in support may be very helpful. To use the template:

1.      Copy the text onto the co-op’s letterhead

2.      Insert the name of the co-op at the seven (7) locations marked in green

3.      Include details about the co-op – especially the miles of power lines the co-op is responsible for and the size of the service territory.

4.      Provide an appropriate contact – if your member is uncomfortable including the name of a co-op employee, feel free to use “Dorothy Kellogg, at Dorothy.kellogg@nreca.coop<mailto:Dorothy.kellogg@nreca.coop>, 703-907-5715”.

5.      Sign the letter

6.      Save the letter as “(co-op name) WOTUS Step-1 Comments” or something similar

7.      Upload the letter to https://www.regulations.gov/docket?D=EPA-HQ-OW-2017-0203 by clicking the “Comment Now!” button and following the directions.
