Special Guests at the cookout tomorrow
Bill Willingham 21 Mar 2017 13:14 UTC
A lot of Legislators have confirmed for tomorrow night. In addition, Ag Commissioner Putnam and
Governor Scott plan to attend. The Governor has a window from 6:45 to 7:15 blocked out for us but we
do not know Adam's schedule. If you want to talk to the Commissioner or the Governor or have your
picture taken with them don't be shy. That is why they want to attend. However, this will not be
the best time to go into a deep discussion on an issue. If you do have a burning issue that you want
their help on, the best thing to do is to very briefly describe the issue and ask if there is someone
in their office you can call to discuss it.
For those that will have photographers at the cookout, please share some pictures of the Governor and
the Commissioner with us at statewide so that we can distribute them to all of the co-ops to use at
home. The elected folks certainly appreciate the free publicity and it lets the world know that
co-ops have powerful friends.
Also, the buses will begin running from the Hampton Inn at 1:00. For those that plan to drive,
please reserve the closest parking spaces for our guests. If you must take a vehicle, there is ample
parking across the street from the back gate. Also, we need to keep the circle clear of vehicles so
the buses can get through.
