HR, Managers, and Members Services -

Yesterday, we sought clarification from the Governor’s office on Section 1-A, Safer at Home of Executive Order 20-91 as.

Under this section, “senior adults” are defined as 65 and older.  The Governor’s office has advised us that if an individual is 65 or older and currently works in a job that is considered essential, they may continue to work.  Workers in the electric industry are considered essential under the Department of Homeland Security CISA guidelines.

In addition, local governments may institute stricter guidelines to limit the movement of people in their local areas. The Governor’s Office supports the actions by the local governments. However, any local government ordinances or rules should not impact the ability for essential workers to continue their jobs.

As any changes or modifications occur, we will pass the information along as quickly as possible. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Thank you,
