FW: F-ROC Leadership Course Launch Michelle Hershel 11 Apr 2023 20:27 UTC
Good afternoon - please see attached and below for information on Phase I F-ROC training. As you may recall, FDEM has been trying to develop a risk assessment formula to be used by subrecipients of FEMA reimbursement funds that will calculate your risk potential - FDEM calls this the Florida Recovery Obligation Calculation or F-ROC. Once you determine your risk number using F-ROC you should be able to receive a certain percentage of FEMA funds that have been obligated to the state immediately, while FDEM audits the remainder of the funds.

Attached is the list of all the times and locations for in-person Leadership courses.

We will also have a representative from KPMG (contractor for FDEM) at FECA's Hurricane Meeting May 10 to discuss F-ROC with the group.

Good afternoon everyone,

Some of you may have already received the email below from Director Guthrie but I wanted to forward the training announcement to those on our distribution list. We are very excited to kick off Phase 1 of our F-ROC training schedule next week and we hope to see many of you there! The intended audience of this initial F-ROC course is high level, executive staff that would be responsible for making the decision to opt-in to the program, as well as implement the program after opting in.

There will be several other courses offered in Phase 2 that will provide a deeper dive into procurement, project development and other F-ROC aspects.

Please see below for more information and a link to sign up for the Leadership Course. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Subject: F-ROC Leadership Course Launch

Hello everyone,

I am excited to announce the kick-off of our F-ROC Training Program! This initiative has been many months in the making. Thank you to all of the counties who volunteered their venues to host sessions and thank you to the Recovery Regional Coordinators for your assistance in coordinating and communicating within your regions.

We have scheduled all the Phase 1, "F-ROC Approach and Overview for Leaders" courses across the state. Those will take place from mid-April to mid-May. As we are still in the planning phase for the remaining F-ROC courses, we may still reach out to you to host a session in Phase 2 which will include virtual and live sessions. Stay tuned!

Our first offering, "F-ROC: Approach and Overview for Leaders"<https://trac.floridadisaster.org/TRAC/CourseDetailPublic.aspx?ID=1236&mode=ModeEdit&LookupName=CourseSearchpublic> will provide executives, leaders, and other strategic leads with the information necessary to make the decision to opt in, as well as the skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement the Florida Recovery Obligation Calculation (F-ROC) program within their organization. This course is not mandatory but will provide an overview of what applicants can expect from the F-ROC program.

Our trainings will officially start on April 18th. Attached is the list of all the times and locations for in-person Leadership courses. Registration for this course will be in SERT TRAC. The link above will take you to the course information page.

We look forward to rolling these out and are excited for you all to be part of this process.
