FW: Notice of Funding Availability: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) DR-4673 Hurricane Ian Michelle Hershel 24 Feb 2023 14:27 UTC
Good morning - please see below and attached. Funding is now available through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program for Hurricane Ian. Though electric cooperatives are eligible to receive these funds as "private non-profit organizations" under the federal regulations, unfortunately you still need towork through the respective county LMS working group and adopt their LMS plan.

The application deadline is May 31, 2023 and we would suggest that you start working with your counties as soon as possible in order to meet this deadline since each county has their own processes in place that may require several considerations by the respective county commissions.

Subject: Notice of Funding Availability: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) DR-4673 Hurricane Ian

Good Morning,

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is pleased to announce that the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) for Hurricane Ian DR-4673 has been published to the Florida Administrative Register and is available on our state HMGP page (link below). Given the impact of this unique event, every county in the state is eligible for Tiers 1 & 2. There will not be a Tier 3. We ask that everyone take the time to read through the entire NOFA, as there are some changes for this event. The Division will continue to use the FDEM Portal for digital application submissions. Additional details can be found in the attached NOFA and FDEM Portal Community User Guide. The application deadline for this event is May 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (EDT). Do note that if you are submitting through the FDEM Portal, FDEM must receive your access request by 5:00 p.m. (EST) on May 31, 2023. We look forward to working with you all. Feel free to reach out to Jared Jaworski or the Hurricane Ian Mitigation email inbox with any questions you may have (contact info below).
