Subject: NEVI requirements

Good morning all.  Listed below is a shortened version of the Federal NEVI requirements for high-speed hub grant funding provided by Pete and Robert.

  1.  Must be at least 4 DCFC, may include Level 2
  2.  CCS Type 1, others can be provided but need to have 4 that are CCS compliant or capable of dual charging types
  3.  Each DCFC Must be able to simultaneously deliver 150 kW, each L2 must have at least 6kW/port simultaneous
  4.  Available to public 24x7
  5.  Contactless payment that accepts major credit and debit, must not require a membership, be accessible to persons with disabilities and non-English speakers
  6.  Level 2 must be energy star certified
  7.  Appropriate physical and cyber securities to protect consumer data, the chargers and grid
  8.  Maintained in compliance for a Minimum 5 years
  9.  Installed by a certified technician
  10. Ability for all users to report problems
  11. Compliant with data privacy
  12. Limitations on use of income from property and chargers (for Title 23 purposes)
  13. Can accommodate any network provider without hardware replacement
  14. Signage in compliance with MUTCD and 23 CFR part 750
  15. Detailed, per-port Quarterly and annual reports for usage and availability must be submitted
  16. Charger must remain operable even if the network connection is lost
  17. Pricing, location and real time availability is available on mapping applications
  18. Average up time greater than 97%
  19. All existing federal requirements still apply
