FW: FY 2021 Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Notice of Funding Opportunity
Michelle Hershel 13 Aug 2021 19:13 UTC
Below is the Florida Division of Emergency Management's 2021 Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Mitigation Grant Program ("BRIC").
BRIC's priorities are to:
Incentivize natural hazard risk reduction activities that mitigate risk to public
infrastructure
Prioritize benefits to disadvantaged communities
Mitigate risk to one or more community lifelines
Incorporate nature-based solutions
Enhance climate resilience and adaptation
Increase funding to applicants that facilitate the adoption and enforcement of the
latest published editions of building codes
Unfortunately, under FEMA regulations, co-ops, as PNP subrecipients, can not apply directly to FDEM or FEMA for BRIC funds but must partner with local counties and the counties will submit the subapplication to FDEM who will forward it to FEMA. Therefore, if you are interested in applying for BRIC funds you should contact your county Emergency Manager and coordinate with them.
