Good Morning- Our fears have become a reality – both our FEMA Region IV and Florida DEM speakers have had to cancel because they are needed up north. Carter Mack with FDEM volunteered to help at the South Carolina EOC so he is unavailable.
So far, Franklin with FEMA HQs will still present the PDAT training Wednesday afternoon. Also, Billy Sasser with Homeland Security will still be presenting on cybersecurity Wednesday a.m. I thought we could use the time between 10:15a.m. – noon to discuss
the problems we are having with both FEMA and FDEM. The person at FDEM said we could forward our questions to her to answer so I will write down all your questions during our discussion- I think the best thing is for me to meet with FDEM after they have had
time to look at our questions to discuss solutions- if any of want to attend this meeting with me please let me know.
Also, Mike Bjorklund, Statewide’s GM is available Wednesday a.m. so he is going to try and come by and give his presentation instead of on Friday so we’ll be able to get out a little earlier on Friday.
That is the game plan right now- I will update you if anything else changes.
