Good morning everyone! Im trying to gain a better insight as to what coops are doing about LMR. I was able to send an email to the national E&O list-serve yesterday but haven't hardly received a response; so Im hoping that Im not bothering you guys with constant questions. If you have already seen my questions please ignore but if you haven't and have a quick moment to reply I would be greatly appreciative!!
Thank you in advance.
Hello All! I hope things are going well at your co-ops especially with the devastating weather. We are in the middle of making some final decisions about what kind of land mobile radio (LMR) system we are wanting to install. As we have seen the LMR environment, we are thinking of installing a 6.25 kHz equivalent system. In the middle of the last staff meeting the question came up: "What are other coops doing?"
So, if you don't mind sharing:
1) what is your coops communication system plans?
2) if you are installing an lmr system, what brand?
3) are you planning on using a conventional or trunking system?
4) are you planning on assigning handhelds or mobiles in the trucks? How many?
5) is AVL part of your implementation?
6) how many employees will be using your system?
I know you may not have all the information, but any info you can provide would be a great help!
If you or your family was involved with the recent tornados, know our hearts and thoughts are with you!
Thanks,
